Zuckerberg: More Work To Be Done on Fake News

Facebook is getting serious about cracking down on “Fake News”. After originally dismissing the idea that “fake new” was an issue Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote on his facebook page:

“We’ve been working on this problem for a long time and we take this responsibility seriously. We’ve made significant progress, but there is more work to be done.”

Mr. Zuckerberg laid out seven ways to cut down on fake news. They range from banning fake news site, eliminating their ability to monetize their content and making it easier for users to flag fake news sites.

President-Elect Donald Trump took a few shots at the mainstream media yesterday. Mr. Trump met with some of the biggest names in main stream media yesterday at Trump Tower. According to the NY Post’s sources, the meeting did not go well.

Mr. Trump dressed down the media persona assembled as a ‘room full of liars’ Mr Trump saved special criticism for CNN.

‘I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed,’ Mr. Trump purportedly told CNN head Jeff Zucker.

Then there was this tweet in which Mr. Trump once again referred to the press as “crooked media”:

Mr. Trump decided to address the American people directly yesterday issuing this tweet/video in which he lays out his plans for the first 100 days of his administration.
