The President Takes Issue with the Press’s Priorities

Donald Trump took to twitter again this morning. It’s becoming obvious that the Russians did it narrative promoted incessantly by the mainstream media and Democrats is supported by speculation, not actual evidence. The surveillance of Trump by the Obama administration is, however, supported by facts (it is the basis for the speculation about the Trump Russian connection!). Yet the former narrative dominates the airwaves as if to obfuscate the latter narrative.

It is the same Fake News Media that said there is “no path to victory for Trump” that is now pushing the phony Russia story. A total scam!

Rachel Maddow Scores Own Goal With Trump Tax Return Scoop

Trump Tax returns Reveal Trump paid $38 Million in Taxes on $150 million in Income in 2015

Rachel Maddow of MSNBC thought she had the scoop of a life time. She had scored a copy of Donald Trump’s 2005 Form 1040. Ms. Maddow took to twitter last night announcing that she would reveal Donald Trump Tax returns at 9pm that evening. Prior to her show airing the White House released Mr. Trump’s tax information showing that he paid $38 million in taxes in 2005 on income of $150 million, along with a statement:

“You know you are desperate for ratings when you are willing to violate the law to push a story about two pages of tax returns from over a decade ago. … Mr. Trump paid $38 million dollars even after taking into account large scale depreciation for construction, on an income of more than $150 million dollars, as well as paying tens of millions of dollars in other taxes such as sales and excise taxes and employment taxes and this illegally published return proves just that. Despite this substantial income figure and tax paid, it is totally illegal to steal and publish tax returns. The dishonest media can continue to make this part of their agenda, while the President will focus on his, which includes tax reform that will benefit all Americans.”

After babbling for about twenty minutes on the importance of releasing tax returns, Rachel Maddow finally revealed what she had been hyping and the White House already released, the President’s 2005 1040 and the details previously released by the White House.

The mainstream media is determined to take down Donald Trump with “the Russians did it” charges.

The mainstream media has also made incessant demands that Mr. Trump release his tax returns with the hopes that his tax information might reveal, as Hillary Clinton and others have speculated, that he has not been paying taxes or has financial ties to Russia.

In one fell scoop, Ms Maddow laid to rest those claims with a spectacular own goal disproving these suspicions. Not only has Donald Trump paid his taxes as the 2005 1040 shows, but that he paid them at a higher rate than MSNBC owner Comcast (24%), former President Obama (19%) and Bernie “Trump must pay his fair share” Sanders (13%).

CNBC Denies Trump Claim 94 Million People out of Labor Force, Retracts

During President Trump’s address to Congress last night he noted “Ninety-four million Americans are out of the labor force.”

CNBC, desperate to discredit President’s Trump claim that 94 million are out of workforce, tweeted last night that it is untrue. CNBC then deleted the tweet and “clarified”:

“Clarification:Trump claim that “94M people are out of the labor force” is correct; his past statements that they can’t get a job is not true.”

The labor force participation rate is at multi-decade lows:

The labor force participation rate is down, not only because of retiring baby boomers, but also because an increasing percentage of people in their prime working ages (25-54) have left the labor force.

CNN Says Trump Says the Media is the Enemy of the People

The President has been clear that it’s the FAKE NEWS MEDIA that is the enemy of the people not THE MEDIA

Donald Trump has called the fake media an enemy of the people quite a few times. He has noted, however, that media outlets have changed his statement to “the media is an enemy of the people” purposefully leaving out the word “fake”.

Here is an example of a CNN reporter repeating the charge that Donald Trump calleds “the media” an enemy of the people during an interview with Ben Stein.

New York Times Takes Out Ad To Combat “Fake News” Tag, Trump Responds

New York Times Bought Television Ad That Aired During Oscar Ceremony

Soon after Hillary Clinton lost the Presidential election to Donald Trump, despite the best efforts of The New York Time to prevent such an outcome, the New York Times and other main stream media outlets began the mantra that “fake news” (and the Russians) helped Donald Trump win the election. Indeed, the New York Times mentioned “fake news” incessantly in the six week period from the election to the end of December.

Even Hillary Clinton rolled out of bed one day in December to denounce the evils of fake news.

Fake news references in the New York Times were up 531% in 2016 over 2015.

Many of the alternative news outlets that the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, Facebook and other main stream media companies tagged with the moniker “fake news” fired back that the real fake news was coming from the main stream media companies. Alternative news media outlets created their own fake news lists that included the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, CBS and other main stream media companies.

The term fake news, first introduced by the main stream media to characterize their alternative media competition, began to backfire so spectacularly that the New York Times and Washington Post called for a ban on using the term!

On January 11, 2017 at a press conference Donald Trump specifically called out CNN as “fake news”. Later February 16, 2017 on Donald Trump downgraded CNN to “very fake news“.

The term “fake news” had boomeranged on the main stream media.

During the Oscar awards ceremony last night the New York Times aired an an ad that attempted to portray themselves as the purveyors of truth and the President as a liar.

The tables have indeed turned. Instead of eliminating alternative media by destroying them with the fake news tag, the New York Times is now spending money to defend their reputation as a “not fake news” media outlet.

Trump vs. the CIA and the Main Stream Media

The New York Times, The Atlantic, Washington Post and other main stream media out lets are reporting the “fact” that Russia “hacked the election” based on a CIA conclusion.

The Atlantic notes that the CIA evidence “remains mostly secret”. The Washington Post wrote “the CIA concluded in a secret assessment” that there was Russian involvement in the U.S. election “according to [unnamed] officials brief on the matter”. A New York Times headline blurted “CIA Judgement Built on Swell of Evidence”.

President-Elect Donald Trump’s told Fox News over the weekend he did not believe the CIA conclusion that Russia hacked the election as trumpeted by the main stream media articles and called it “ridiculous”.

The New York Times has warned that Trump’s “mocking of the US intelligence finding” is an “extraordinary breach”. The Washington Post wrote that Trump’s comments set him on course for a showdown with [unnamed] intelligence officials that “some of them describe as the most complex threat environment in decades.”

Undeterred, Trump took to twitter today claiming that if he had lost the election and blamed it on the Russia, it would have been dismissed as a “conspiracy theory”

The main stream media has so damaged its credibility during the last election cycle that if indeed Russia has committed serious acts of espionage, many have trouble believing it when it is reported by main stream media outlets.

Trump Calls FAKE NEWS on CNN

The “fake news” chorus from the main stream media continues unabated. The fake news charges, however, are being turned on the main stream media by none other than President-Elect Donald Trump. Mr. Trump responded to reports by CNN that he would continue to be involved in “the Apprentice”, even when he assumes the Presidency.

Mr. Trump fire off this tweet, calling the charge ‘ridiculous’ and ‘untrue’ and labeling CNN’s account ‘FAKE NEWS’

One can only wonder how long the main stream media will continue its attack on fake news that seems to be convincing few, and in many instances, subjecting the MSM news outlets to ridicule and scorn.

How Donald Trump End Runs Main Stream Media

President-elect Donald Trump has been criticized by the main stream media for “tweeting too much”. The main stream media has also been complaining incessantly about the prevalence of “fake news”.

The underlying message the mainstream media wants to relay is that they are the relevant gatekeepers to real news.

If a story has not passed the mainstream media’s test as newsworthy, they will deem it “fake” or the product of “Russian Propaganda”

Donald Trump complained through out the presidential campaign that the MSM covered him and his campaign unfairly. After his election, Donald Trump “broke protocol” and did not give the press corp advance notice of his schedule when he attended a dinner with his family.

Mr. Trump realizes that the press needs him more than he needs them. The President-elect also realizes the best way to make sure you are not misquoted is to make sure you don’t tell a reporter your point of view but to publish it your self.

Twitter has made it clear it does not like giving conservatives a platform to express their points of view. Breitbart reported that Twitter is considering booting the President-elect from Twitter if he violates their terms on service.

If Trump were to be silenced on Twitter one can expect him to appear on any number of other social media platforms, including the nascent twitter-like Gab.ai.

Trump Cancels Meeting With ‘Failing’, ‘Inaccurate’ & ‘Nasty’ New York Times

After a meeting with top main stream media heads and journalists yesterday at Trump Tower during which President-Elect Donald Trump called the group a “roomful of liars“, Mr. Trump doubled down on his assault on the main stream media.

In a tweet this morning, the Donald announced that he had cancelled his meeting with “the failing NyTimes” because the terms and conditions of the meeting had been changed at the last minute.

The President Elect followed up his tweet saying perhaps he will reschedule the meeting with the NY Times, but for now he was content to call out their “inaccurate and nasty tone” of their coverage of him.
