The Daily Bell notes that merely labeling something a conspiracy theory has lost a lot of its credibility. The DB notes that many conspiracy theories are now believed -in part because many have been shown to be true.
Since naming something a conspiracy theory no longer works, enter calling “fake news” on stories that go against the official narrative! Perhaps the problem with this approach is many “fake news” stories may prove to be true as many “real news” stories prove to be false.
